What should you do if you are served with an Ex Parte Domestic Violence Order?

First, read it very carefully.  If you do not follow the orders contained in that document you can be arrested, and face additional charges.

Next, you need to immediately talk to an attorney.  A civil hearing must be set within ten days, and the date of that hearing will be contained in that order.  You must appear at that hearing and be ready to defend the allegations made against you.
